     "Mom!  He's causing trouble!"

I think it should probably read, "Mom!  John's causing trouble!"
My oldest brother John was usually the one causing trouble.

Hello, welcome to 'David, age 6'.  Basically, it is mostly about me at that age in comic book form.  Some other things may creep in.  I don't know yet.
Here is a 'working cover' for a possible book that a friend is interested in publishing, but I don't know yet what will happen.  I don't know why I would want a book published when I can do the whole thing as a blog.
Doing the blog is the only way for me right now to maintain control over my own material.
I like to do things real sloppy at first to see how I feel about what I am doing.  They can always be fine-tuned later, and redone if necessary.
People want everything perfect the first go-around, and things just don't work that way.
Here is a page.  It is the only one that I have right now that I know where it is.  A lot of things got lost, or thrown away in a recent move....unfortunately.

This page is based off of a memory when I was in church.

Anyway, 'david, age 6' is kind of a copy of 'Calvin & Hobbes', which is a copy of 'Peanuts', which borrows from 'Our Gang - The Little Rascals'.
Then there is the experience of childhood from Charles Dickens' 'David Copperfield', and 'Oliver Twist'.
Charles Dickens was the first English author to really treat the subject of childhood seriously, unless you can name another that I over-looked.
People used to not take kids seriously at all, and, they still don't.

Anyway, welcome again to the beginning of this blog.

I will try to dig up older episodes, or find pictures of them that I took.

Otherwise, I'll have to make new ones.

Meanwhile, I have to thank a friend for getting me started with 'david, age 6'.  He seemed to be the only person who liked the comic.
Then I figured out that maybe it was worth doing, and there was a world to explore there.

A problem comes up with mentioning names of family members.  Traditionally, they don't like being in my art, which I always thought was a shame, but that is how they are.

There is an episode that I want to do, but I can't really post here unless I do it in a 'nice way' where I walked in on my mother while she was naked and pregnant while sitting on her bed.
     She said, "Can't you knock?"
I still remember thinking about how my dad never put locks on any of the doors, which seemed to me like an easy thing to do if he cared enough to do it.
